Page Design Layout Winner

• Awarded as part of a editorial submission for the 2016 Michigan Associated Press (MAP) 3rd place in the Better Newspaper Contest: Weekly, Class B Category, for the BEST NEWSPAPER DESIGN.

 

As the senior graphic designer for this newspaper, I created the current logo used for a local newspaper covering current sports and buzz-worthy news in Tuscola County, consisting of 13 counties.

Newspaper publication was printed twice a week (Wednesday/Saturday), reaching over 200,000 subscribers and residents all over Michigan, through print and online subscriptions.

 

The Advertiser also carried smaller localized papers, such as the Reese Reporter, the Vassar Pioneer Times, and the Shoppers Advantage. Branching out from print production, the Advertiser is home to two radio stations known as Classic Rock I92 (FM), and Classic Country 1360 WKYO (AM).

In 2016, I was the Michigan Associated Press (MAP) awarded the Advertiser 3rd place in the Better Newspaper Contest: Weekly, Class B Category, for the BEST NEWSPAPER DESIGN.
